Supporting women is a personal passion of mine as I know first-hand how challenging it can be to juggle all of the many roles that come with womanhood. Whether it be life transitions, motherhood, infertility, postpartum, anxiety, depression or relationship challenges that bring clients in, it is an honor to sit alongside brave women who are interested in pursuing growth and healing.
Children and adolescents have also been a focus of mine for the past decade. As both a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate and a North Carolina Licensed School Counselor, I understand the inner workings of the school dynamics and how these dynamics impact the social/emotional health of students. It has been an honor to support children and adolescents to help them become the best versions of themselves. I have a wide range of experience and have supported clients through anxiety, depression, emotional regulation issues, trauma, grief and loss, and self-esteem challenges.
I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Appalachian State University and a Master's of Arts Degree in Agency Counseling with School Licensure from Lenoir Rhyne University. The therapeutic orientations I most often utilize in counseling sessions include Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy. Non-directive therapy, art and play therapies and a little bit of fun may also be incorporated into counseling sessions.
Whether you are seeking support for yourself or for your child/teen, I applaud you for taking the first step towards growth. I look forward to cheering you on!
